On March 17, 2026, POCO officially introduced POCO X8 Pro Max at the global launch event of the POCO X8 Pro Series. This is the first time the brand has used the name Pro Max, focusing on three main factors including large screen, high performance and very large capacity battery.
According to information from POCO, the device has a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, 1.5K resolution of 2772 × 1280 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nit HBM brightness and peak brightness up to 3,500 nits in suitable display conditions. The screen border is made very thin to increase the front display ratio.
In terms of configuration, POCO X8 Pro Max uses MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor manufactured on 3nm process, combined with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 memory. The device targets gaming and AI processing needs with the IceLoop cooling system and many optimizations for performance.
One of the biggest highlights is the 8,500mAh battery in most markets, while some regions like India get the 9,000mAh version. The device supports 100W HyperCharge fast charging, and has the ability to reverse charge with a wire.
The camera system includes a 50MP Light Fusion 600 main camera with OIS stabilization, an 8MP super wide-angle camera and a 20MP front camera. The machine reached cIP68 dust and water resistant and runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
