1. Design & specifications
Oakley Meta HSTN is a smart glasses version of the collaboration between Meta and Oakley, carrying the innovative sports DNA of the HSTN line: classic round frames but modern modifications, especially the very characteristic folded "Trigger Stem" temples. O Matter™ material is super light - durable - flexible, weighing only 49g, comfortable to wear all day. The device is IPX4 water resistant, suitable for outdoor activities.
Configuration equivalent to Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 (2025): 3K video recording for up to 3 minutes, 12MP photos, 32GB memory and battery life of about 8 hours of use.
2. Size & wearing feel
Oakley Meta HSTN has only one size: Lens 51 mm – Bridge 22 mm – Temple 145 mm – Hinge to Hinge about 133 mm. Practical experience shows that the glasses hug the face a bit when first worn, but after a short time they will relax and fit better. Nearsighted people can change lenses according to degrees, which is very convenient.
The glasses are light, the feeling of presence is clearer than traditional thin glasses but still easy to adapt to after a few days of use.
3. Glass control: simple - intuitive
Just open the glasses and put them on and you're ready to go.
• Button on the right: hold to record video, press once to take photos.
• Touch on the claw: touch – swipe to control media.
• LED light next to the camera: signals when recording/taking, ensuring transparency and avoiding hidden recording.
4. Impressive video & photo recording capabilities
The most important upgrade is 3K video up to 3 minutesyoungest, much sharper than the old 1080p generation. 12MP photos have quite good quality and are suitable for life - review - experience content.
All data is saved to 32GB memory or can be synchronized with Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud. The Meta AI app is central to glasses management and smart feature usage. Software version 20.0 still retains the 3-minute recording limit, not unlocking 5 minutes.
5. Built-in speaker & talkback capability
The glasses are equipped with 5 microphones and 2 open speakers, allowing you to listen to podcasts, light music, call or record conveniently. The microphone records sound well, and the speaker is more of a basic experience - enough to use when you need to listen quickly.
6. AI & real experience
Meta AI supports Q&A and smart recognition, but these features are not really popular in Vietnam. Most users aim for the ability to record POV videos - which is the strongest point of the Meta glasses line.
7. A practical video recording device for content creators
