Will AI Agent really change the way we use smartphones every day or is this just a marketing trend when the hardware has not been fully announced yet?
Actual images of Nubia NaviX Ultra are being spread after the device was introduced by Nubia at the WAIC 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai. According to Nubia and ZTE, this is a smartphone model that the company positions as AI Agent Phone, meaning the phone is built around an AI model capable of understanding user intentions and performing many inter-app tasks on its own instead of just responding to each command like a traditional AI assistant.
From published images and actual images being spread, NaviX Ultra has a flat metal frame design, an elongated horizontal camera cluster, many color options including pink, and a dedicated orange AI button on the side of the device. However, Nubia has not yet announced the full hardware configuration of the product.
The biggest highlight of NaviX Ultra lies in the software. The device integrates Doubao Phone Assistant developed by ByteDance and built by Nubia according to the system-level AI Agent architecture. According to the company's introduction, AI can recognize content on the screen, understand context, touch, swipe, input and complete a series of tasks on many different applications on behalf of the user. This is the directionNubia calls it switching from phones with AI features to AI Agent phones.
Currently, the technical specifications of NaviX Ultra have not been officially confirmed by Nubia. Some information about Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, about 7,100 mAh battery, 144 Hz screen or 50 MP triple camera cluster only comes from leaked sources and has not been confirmed by the company, so these should not be considered official specifications.
