REDMAGIC has posted an official unboxing video introducing the Starfrost color version of the Astra 2 gaming tablet model. The video focuses on the product's appearance with a matte silver back, metal frame and signature transparent window strip that partially reveals the cooling system and gaming-style details.
According to official information from REDMAGIC, Astra 2 is positioned as a high-end gaming tablet model with a more compact design than conventional Android tablets but still focuses on performance and heat dissipation. The Starfrost version is just a color option next to the black Eclipse version, the hardware configuration between the two versions is no different.
The notable point of Astra 2 is not in the color but in the hardware platform. REDMAGIC is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor combined with RedCore R4 game processor chip, 9.06 inch OLED screen with 2400 × 1504 resolution, scan frequency up to 185 Hz and AquaCore Cooling System 2.0 system using liquid cooling. The company also announced an 8,300 mAh battery, maximum 75 W fast charging, two USB Type C ports and the operating systemREDMAGIC OS 11.5 is based on Android 16.
