Pixel 11 Pro XL hasn't been officially announced by Google yet, but a series of boxes that are said to be retail products have appeared. Is this a big leak or a risky pre-order deal?
Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is becoming the focus of attention after an image posted on X shows seven unsealed boxes, with the name Google Pixel 11 Pro XL clearly written on the outside. Sensitive information such as serial number, IMEI and tracking code on the box have been covered up. The poster said these devices are being offered for pre-order on the gray market in Türkiye at a price equivalent to about 44,547,600 VND per device according to the reference exchange rate on August 9, 2026. The point that makes the incident noteworthy is not only that the Pixel continued to be leaked before the announcement date. If the boxes in the picture are indeed complete retail products, the appearance of up to seven devices at the same time shows that the Pixel 11 Pro XL may be quite deep into the distribution preparation stage. However, there is currently no independent basis strong enough to confirm the origin of these phones. (Notebookcheck)
Cases of unreleased smartphones appearing on the gray market always pose many potential problems. The device may be a test machine, a pre-production machine, a product that has been illegally released from the distribution chain, or a corrupted version.limited by region. Because the Pixel 11 Pro XL has not yet been officially announced by Google, buyers cannot be sure whether the device will be activated normally, receive a warranty or have the software fully updated. The above parameters are still leaked information and are not official configurations confirmed by Google. Some sources are even giving different battery capacities, from around 5,000 mAh to 5,115 mAh, suggesting that the final configuration still needs to wait for the announcement event. (Android Authority)
The most interesting upgrade may lie in the Tensor G6. Leaks now suggest that Google is switching to TSMC's 2 nm N2 process. If the information is accurate, this will be an important step forward for the Pixel line because power efficiency, temperature and modem have long been factors that users are concerned about on phones using Tensor. One source also claims that the Pixel 11 switches to the MediaTek M90 modem instead of the previous Exynos-based solution. (Tom's Guidee)
Pixel 11 Pro XL is also rumored to keep the screen around 6.8 inches but increase the maximum brightness to about 3,600 nits. Instead of completely changing the design, Google seems to be focusing on refining the internal display experience and performance. (Tom's Guide)
Another controversial change is Pixel Glow. Leaked sources believe that Google may remove the temperature sensor that has appeared on recent generations of Pixel Pro and replace it with an integrated RGB light cluster in the camera area. This system is described as a form of interactive notification light, similar in idea to the Glyph on the Nothing phone but on a smaller scale. (Android Authority)
The camera may not have undergone a revolution in the number of lenses, but Google is said to continue to increase image processing capabilities and expand digital zoom up to 120x. Some recent sources mention a 50 MP configuration for the main camera, 48 MP 5x telephoto and 48 MP ultra wide angle. (PhoneArena)
It is worth noting that the rumored battery capacity may decrease slightly compared to the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Pixel 10 Pro XL uses a battery of about 5,200 mAh, while newer information puts the Pixel 11 Pro XL at about 5,115 mAh, even some previous leaks only mentioned about 5,000 mAh. Google may be able to compensate for the reduced capacity with the power efficiency of the 2 nm Tensor G6 and the new modem, but actual battery life can only be assessed once the commercial product appears. Overall, the Pixel 11 Pro XL seems to be a generation that focuses more on optimization rather than completely changing the formula of the Pixel Pro XL. The 2 nm Tensor G6, new modem, brighter screen, lighter body and Pixel Glow could become the key differentiators, while the camera continues to rely heavily on Google's algorithms and AI.
The appearance of Pixel 11 Pro XL boxes in Türkiye is therefore noteworthy but not enough to prove that this is an official commercial product. The level of nearly 44.55 million VND on the gray market also reflects a huge fee for owning the device before its widespread release, and comes with risks regarding origin, activation, warranty and compatibility.
There is only one big question waiting for Google to answer with an official product. Will the Pixel 11 Pro XL really solve the long-standing weaknesses of the Pixel line thanks to the 2 nm Tensor G6, or is Pixel Glow and 120x zoom in the end just upgrades that are easier to attract attention than change the usage experience?
