Is Motorola really preparing to launch a completely different Moto G Max in India, or is the image circulating mistakenly naming another Moto G model with almost identical configuration to the Moto G57 Power?

An image being shared on social networks says that Motorola will introduce the Moto G Max in India on August 14, coming with a 6.72-inch FHD+ 120 Hz screen, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 memory, Sony LYTIA 600 50 MP camera, 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera, 32 MP front camera, 7,000 mAh carbon silicon battery and charger. 30 W. However, through checking available sources, there is not enough reliable evidence to confirm this is the official configuration of a new Moto G Max for the Indian market.

1. The biggest anomaly lies in the name Moto G Max

Moto G Max is not a completely new name. Device databases have now recorded a Moto G Max 5G announced in 2026 with very different configurations than the image circulating. This model is noted to use MediaTek Dimensity 6400, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB memory, about 6.8 inch screen, 5,200 mAh battery and Android 16. Gadgets 360 also noted that Moto G Max 5G was launched on June 12, 2026 and has not yet been launched in India.

Another source notes that Moto G Max was launched by Motorola in Brazil in June 2026 and has a very close relationship with Motorola.close to Moto G87 for other markets. This makes information about a Moto G Max using Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and a 7,000 mAh battery need to be cautious before being considered an official product.

2. The configuration in the photo is remarkably similar to the Moto G57 Power

What's worth noting is that many of the parameters appearing in the picture are almost identical to the Moto G57 Power that Motorola previously introduced in India. Moto G57 Power uses Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, FHD+ 120 Hz screen, Sony LYTIA 600 50 MP main camera and 7,000 mAh silicon carbon battery. The product announcement also confirms Android 16 and 8 GB RAM.

Information about the Moto G57 Power from the product announcement source says the device has 8 GB RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.2, not UFS 3.1 as shown in the photo.

3. Why can't we confirm the Moto G Max in the photo?

There are at least three signs to look out for. First, the Moto G Max already existsIn the 2026 database, the Dimensity 6400 configuration and 5,200 mAh battery are very different from the device in the photo.

Second, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, 6.72 inch 120 Hz screen, Sony LYTIA 600 50 MP and 7,000 mAh battery is the hardware combination that appeared on the Moto G57 Power.

Third, the current search results have not provided an official announcement from Motorola confirming that the company will introduce a Moto G Max configured as shown in India on August 14, 2026. Therefore, the August 14 date and all configurations in the post should be considered information that has not been confirmed by Motorola, instead of an official launch schedule.

4. If this configuration exists, the most notable point is still the 7,000 mAh battery

Ignoring the issue of product name, the combination of Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and 7,000 mAh silicon carbon battery has a complete technical basis because Motorola has commercialized a similar configuration on the Moto G57 Power. Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 has also appeared on this device.

The 7,000 mAh battery will create a big advantage in terms of usage time, while the FHD + 120 Hz screen and Sony LYTIA 600 50 MP camera aim the device into the popular to mid-range segment. However, 30 W charging will be relatively modest for such a large battery capacity.

The most important thing at the moment is not to confirm that Motorola Moto G Max will launch in India on August 14, 2026 with the configuration in the photo. Verifiable data shows that the Moto G Max name is attached to a Dimensity 6400 device, 200 MP camera and 5,200 mAh battery, while the 7,000 mAh configuration in the picture is mostly close to the Moto G57 Power.
