Xiaomi has announced the official introduction page for the Redmi Note 17 Series on its global website and many markets, thereby confirming that the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G has a battery with a standard capacity of 10,000 mAh and 100W HyperCharge fast charging technology. Thus, information about battery capacity is no longer just a leak like in previous posts.
Xiaomi Japan's product page also clearly states the number 10,000 mAh in the main image applicable to Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Xiaomi also explained that the word Max refers to the largest battery capacity in Xiaomi phones as of September 2026. This is a direct confirmation from the company, but only reflects the product range and timing stated by Xiaomi in this market.

The number 9,210 mAh appearing in some images online does not match the standard capacity of 10,000 mAh that Xiaomi is announcing for the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Configuration tables with Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, 50 MP camera, 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB memory should not be considered complete specifications if there is no official configuration page for each market version.
Notably, the viral photo states that Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will start selling on August 28, 2026 in Japan. Meanwhile, the verifiable content on the Xiaomi Japan page currently states the pre-registration deadline is August 28, 2026 to receive Mi points and access to incentives.
