Does the price of nearly 14 million VND cause TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G to lose its competitive advantage, despite having a 144 Hz screen, large battery and different back design?
TECNO officially introduced POVA 8 Pro 5G in the Indian market on August 18, 2026. The device is aimed at users who love gaming and mobile entertainment, featuring an AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, 6,500 mAh battery and Alive Matrix matrix screen on the back.
According to official specifications from TECNO, the device uses a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED screen, resolution of 2,644 × 1,208 pixels, density of 429 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Normal brightness reaches 700 nits, HBM mode reaches 1,600 nits and the maximum brightness level is announced at 4,500 nits in the right conditions.
Processing power comes from MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G manufactured on a 4 nm process, eight-core CPU reaching a maximum speed of 2.6 GHz and Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. TECNO also equips the P1 graphics chip to support the gaming experience, in which the company promotes the ability to support frame rates up to 144 fps with compatible games and conditions.

The rear camera cluster includes a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with OIS optical image stabilization and an 8 MP super wide-angle camera. Alive Matrix Display is a notable identification point on the back. This matrix display can display battery status, timer, notifications, and clock when the phone is placed face down. The 6,500 mAh battery comes with 45 W fast charging, creating an advantage in usage time, while the body is still kept at a thinness of 7.39 mm and a weight of 189 g.
