The 6.9-inch screen is one of the highlights, but the resolution only stops at 1,600 × 720 pixels. The 120 Hz refresh rate provides smoother scrolling and scene transitions, while Corning Gorilla Glass and wet-hand operation contribute to increased durability. However, the large size combined with HD+ resolution means the pixel density is not high, making it difficult to compete in sharpness with Full HD+ devices in the same price range.
The new 7,900 mAh battery is the core advantage of REDMI M100. The device supports 45 W wired charging, 22.5 W wired reverse charging and PPS protocol. Thanks to that, the phone can power other devices via the USB Type-C port in necessary situations. Xiaomi also includes an elder care mode with large icons and fonts, media volume, ringer and notifications that can be increased up to 300 percent, and a disturbing call blocking function.
Photography capabilities are relatively basic with a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera. The device supports portrait mode, night photography, dynamic photos, simultaneous recording of front and rear cameras, professional mode and document scanning. These equipment meet the needs of recording information or making video calls, but show that the REDMI M100 is not positioned as a phone specializing in photography.
