Is a smartphone with a 16:10 ratio screen enough to create a new trend or is this just a bold experiment before OPPO decides to commercialize it?
Some recently leaked information shows that OPPO is said to be developing a completely new smartphone line called Find W with an ultra-wide screen design at a ratio of 16 to 10. However, up to now, OPPO has not officially announced this product, so all information about design, configuration and launch time should be considered rumors or in the testing phase.
According to leaked information compiled by many international technology sites, the test model is said to have an LTPO OLED screen of about 6.4 inches, 1.5K resolution with a display ratio of 16 to 10 to provide a larger display space than traditional smartphones. The device is also said to be being evaluated with very thin screen bezels and using MediaTek Dimensity 9600 processor. However, these parameters have not been confirmed by OPPO.
If the above information becomes reality, Find W will be a different direction compared to book-style folding phones such as Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, HONOR Magic V or vivo X Fold. Instead of increasing the display area with a folding mechanism, OPPO can aim for a bar-shaped smartphone but with a high screen ratio.Significantly wider, better for watching movies, multitasking and playing games.
Some sources also believe that OPPO is researching another wide-screen folding phone model, possibly called Find N7 Wide. However, this name has not been officially confirmed.
Notably, many leaked news mentioned the possibility of Find W being introduced in the same period as OPPO Find X10 Ultra in the first quarter of 2027. However, OPPO previously confirmed that Find
