Is the 8,000 mAh battery and integrated cooling fan enough to turn OPPO K15 into the new standard of mid-range smartphones, or is performance still the deciding factor for users to consider?
On July 24, 2026, OPPO officially introduced OPPO K15 in the Chinese market. This is the new standard model of the K15 series, featuring an 8,000 mAh battery, 80 W SuperVOOC fast charging and an active cooling fan system that previously only appeared on gaming-oriented devices or more advanced versions.
According to information published by OPPO, K15 uses a 6.59-inch flat screen, runs MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super processor, comes with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The device comes pre-installed with Android 16 with ColorOS 16 interface.
The most notable point is the 8,000 mAh battery, significantly larger than current smartphones. OPPO also integrates a new generation cooling system including a large-area VC vapor chamber combined with an active cooling fan, aiming to maintain stable performance when playing games or handling heavy tasks for long periods of time.
OPPO K15's camera system includes a 50 MP main camera with OIS optical image stabilization, a 50 MP super wide-angle camera and a 50 MP front camera. The device meets IP69 dust and water resistance standards, uses a metal frame, tempered glass and supports dual-band GPS positioning and three-frequency BeiDou.
